Ok..Here's the Truth.

Basic truth? I love gin, not surprising - I mean it is the reason for this blog. When I started this blog, my objective was to collect as much gin bottles that were crafted and produced in South Africa. I wanted to fill my cupboards with as much bottles as I could find and showcase them you, but my intentions of this blog have shifted a whole lot.

I think my objective for collecting these different brands clouded my one true goal, I want to drink them, all of them! And I did..🤣🤣🤣 Its been so challenging for me to keep the bottles and not drink them, I tried, really I did. 🤣 But I have decided to stop playing myself and shift the focus to presenting these wonderful brands to you guys and tick of the checklist as we go along. We will still keep collecting our favs - because what's a gin lover without a gin stash right?! 😉 But I want this blog to have more substance.

We are almost at the end of the year of our lord, 2020 and in planning my life for the new year, Gin Spirit is also growing. I have a lot of ideas that I am penning down and putting together an exciting plan to bring more brands to the people, while ticking of our proudly SA gin bucket list and still collect the brands we like and want to reserve.

Our gin bucket list will not only include the brands we collect and drink, it will also include the experiences that we have with gin. From events, gin industry happenings, knowledge write-ups, visits to different distilleries - literally everything that happens in this industry that we know, will be put on the blog. Kind of exciting, because a lot is happening in this industry and to me, focusing on just the collection of bottles, kind of seems unfair.

Bringing it back to our brands in SA, we have had a couple, but we have a long way to go! Some brands, if there is a story to write on, we will write about it, some we will showcase on our social pages, but either way we will bringing the brands and their stories to the people.

So excited for this and for the new stuff coming up for Gin Spirit!

In the meantime - What we drink, What we experience, What we enjoy- is Gin Spirit.
